Hello! My name is Paige, and I am a first year PhD student in Human Development at the University of California, Davis with Dr. Leigh Ann Simmons as my mentor/advisor. I have experience working for Butte Baby Steps in my home town which is a non-profit organization accredited by Healthy Families of America designed to screen for ACEs prenatally and provide home visiting services. During undergrad at UC Davis, I worked with Dr. Simmons and Dr. Phipps on the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) project to bring more awareness to the need for prenatal screening for ACEs. I am most interested in bringing awareness to ACEs and reforming social work in communities throughout the United States to center around prevention.
