I am pursuing a PhD at UC Davis in Human Development to explore how the perinatal period impacts later health trajectories for childbearing people. The perinatal period is a salient developmental time point that impacts the health and development of childbearing people across the lifespan. I plan to uncover the mechanisms behind health behaviors of pregnancy and postpartum to help inform preventative policy and programming.
