Bio
Mackenzie (she/her) is a psychologist whose work spans the intersection of public health, prevention science, and social psychology. She has a decade of clinical experience as a birth and postpartum doula, and she is a Certified Lactation Counselor. Her primary research interests are: 1) identifying and utilizing levers for the protection and support of breastfeeding people; 2) understanding the lived experience of new motherhood in various contexts; and 3) promoting health equity in the United States. Mackenzie received her PhD in Psychology and Social Intervention from New York University.
