My name is Nikita Satish and I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Global Disease Biology with a minor in Public Health. I am really interested in preventative health and hope to pursue a Master's in Public Health in the future. I joined the HEAL Lab because I am interested in learning more about how an individual’s lifestyle can affect their health outcomes. As a member of the HEAL Lab, I have helped with a literature review on the most common pregnancy and delivery complications for the Preconception Health Council of California - Interconception Care project. I am also working on Dr. Simmons’s Adverse Childhood Experiences project and will be looking at data regarding the mental health of children impacted by ACEs.
